Mike really couldn't help the way his eyebrows inched up toward his hairline when he opened the door to find Harvey on the other side looking just a bit more like his former self than he had since they'd arrived here. It wasn't quite the same, he was without the familiar tie, vest, and jacket, and he'd left the facial hair - but despite that Mike thought he saw just a bit more of the old Harvey there. And he made him smile.
He didn't even have to ask what the occasion was, since Harvey surprised him by reminding him that it was his birthday - a birthday he'd thought was just going to pass him by. It wasn't like he knew anyone here well enough to expect anything and Harvey was ... well Harvey. And yet here he was telling Mike they were going out apparently and into a club despite Harvey's previous insistence that he didn't do things like that.
"You knew?" He asked instead of just getting with the new program. "I mean - I didn't tell you or anything." He said slowly. "Is your plan to get very drunk very fast and then force me to carry you back here, because I've gotta tell you I'm not sure that really qualifies as a real birthday celebration."
