"You aren't weird at all," she said with a shrug, and then she laughed. "You can't play that game when you told me that you have an eidetic memory, but I'll let it go."
Alexis thought about what he was saying. "Maybe, but I don't think your friends can become your family, when you have a really close family. No one could be more important than my father. I grew up with him. For all the teasing, he gave up plenty to have me with him all the times. My grandmother lives with us and she helps us. I love my friends, but I could never say that they are more my family than my family. Your friends become your family, because there's a hole there."
She smiled. "Well if you think about it and you every want to talk about it, I might not be a genius or a profiler, but I'll listen."
