She grinned. "Well, if a genius has no problem with that, then I must be doing something right."
Alexis shrugged. "It's not rubbing it in people's faces; it's who you are. You shouldn't have to hide that, and if people can't deal with the fact that you are a genius who can read a book in a few minutes and is nice, then it's their problem, not yours. Can you really read a book in a few minutes? Because that's really great." She ducked her head, smiling at the compliment. "Do you really think I'm pretty?"
She shook her head. "I'm not even sure. There was so much thrown at me, and it's really interesting, but I'm not sure which part I want to specialize in, but it makes sense that you'd do statistics, if you read that fast, you must visualize things easily, routes, numbers, patterns, right?" She chuckled. "They are very interesting, especially my mother. She's fun, but she's all over the places. I love her but after a day or two with her, I need to be alone. One time, she picked me up from school for lunch. She took me to Paris to have lunch. Dad was furious," she said, smiling. "She doesn't think like everyone else."
