RP: Marty and Sam Who: Marty Deeks and Sam Hanna Where: Gym When: December 30 2010 Summary: Marty and Sam talk ... again
The case they'd been given was frustrating to say the least, trying to get a team as large as this to work together was no easy feat and Marty didn't envy G his leadership position even slightly. He had a hard enough time dealing with the different opinions and work styles of the others as it was without trying to make real leadership decisions. What he wouldn't have given for Kensi in all of this.
As it was he found himself in the gym working over a punching bag the way he had not long after he'd arrived. Things were feeling all out of place recently and he couldn't seem to piece it all back together just yet. So he was here working out some of his physical frustrations at the very least, and he'd just have to hope the rest would follow at some point.
He wanted to be home, he wanted things to make sense again, he wanted to stop feeling out of his element all the time, but mostly he just wanted some sense of familiarity that wasn't related to Sam and G making time for him. He wanted something that was his and not something that was just given to him as a result of the holiday or guilt or whatever else it was that made people try and be selfless once a year.
Though it seemed more and more unlikely the longer he drove his fists into the bag that was swinging steadily in front of him.
