It really wasn't a big hope but it was far more than he'd had in ages and ages. He had a long slog ahead of him particularly the part about having something to give Hera. If he were brutally honest the best thing to give Hera would be to leave and let her live her life without him.
But Hera was right at least about that. He hadn't changed much when it came to his doggedness. When he wanted something he'd go after it and not let go. Hera was his pursuit now and he wasn't going to give up. "Don't be a stranger," he murmured, standing and taking her hand.
A shock and heat unlike he'd ever felt before in this mortal form ran down his arm and curled his toes at her touch. Grinning, he kissed the back of her hand and let her go. "See you soon."
With that he left before he could pounce on her because his control was frayed when it came to her. At least now he had a more solid goal now.
