She fought down a surge of desire. Somehow, even after everything they’d been through, he still managed to make her feel that pull to him, that magnetism that only he’d ever truly been able to exert on her. She was much better at fighting it, though, and she wasn’t about to fling herself at him. In truth, she didn’t even want to. She hated him as much as she loved him, and for now, it was still in a perfect balance which kept her firmly in her chair.
