[ ECHIDNA & MEDEA ]
Who: Echidna & Medea
What: The monstrous goddess is minding her bookstore.
When: Thursday, August 4th, 2011; Around 0900.
Where: "Earth, Air, & Fire"; A pagan book and supply store.
Warnings: None at the moment.
The morning time was something Echidna considered a good time. The air seemed cleaner and the people visiting the store, kinder. These were the ones that took their craft seriously. They weren't the odd teenagers or the flaky housewives seeking a new solution to their drab days. Instead, these were the devoted pagans who cared about their shopping. They would chat her up and try to see when the shop was getting new shipments of whatever it was they needed, unlike the casual pagans. She could get into deep philosophical conversations with some of these little humans about the meanings behind certain gods and goddesses (she knew she was right about them even if they say she was wrong). She could give advice on certain rituals and practices which she had seen the Greeks and Romans perform so long ago. These were the few mortals she could stomach easily and learn to enjoy.
Today was no different really. It was nine and the store was officially open for business. The regulars were popping in and out as she was having her morning coffee. Mmm, coffee. Yet another something she could commend the mortal world for. It was like some kind of nectar that the gods had missed on their first go 'round. She had wandered about the store and restacked some books while she chatted with a few of the regulars who were sorting through some of her new materials. It was a generally nice morning really. Nothing horrible going on. No rude customers. She enjoyed that simple bit of life and wished, oh how she wished, she could find her husband so that he could take part of it with her. She doubted he would appreciate such a homey lifestyle as she did, but the least she could do was try to make it work for them. Then again, why hadn't he found her yet if he was really wanting to be with her? It was always the sad thoughts that made her wonder.
