Hilde had been looking with undisguised longing at the beautifully carved candles. Usually, she didn't like carved candles, and she certainly wasn't interested in paying a small fortune for someone else's wax carving that she was merely going to burn. These were really something special, though. The colors were rich and saturated and they layered beautifully. She still didn't think she could justify spending the money on one, but they were beautiful none the less.
When the proprietress called out to her, Hilde turned and smiled, stepping away from the tempting candles and closer to the wall of jars that housed some of the more estoric, and correspondingly expensive, herbs. Most of what she actually needed wasn't priced too dear, but there were a few rituals she longed to try. Alas, they would have to wait until she was no longer a student at the university. Teaching stipends didn't really take herbs and candles into account. "Mostly browsing, but I needed to get a few things. Looks like you got a new shipment in?" It was asked as a question, but it was more of a statement really, and partly a hope that Eva would show off some of her new toys.
