He shuffled over to where she sat at the edge of the bathtub and settled next to her with creaking aching joints. "I've missed you. I imagined for centuries what I would say to you if I ever saw you again and now I can't remember a single word."
His smile was brief and sad, tinged with regret, guilt and loss. "I never stopped, Hera. I never stopped loving you. I'm still very much in love with you and I... I want one last chance. Just one. I'll get sober, I'll even find a job if it means just the chance of having you back."
