Hera watched him tense, asking her about other men in her life, and it made her smile, at least inside where he wouldn't see it. He was so transparent, it was pathetic. But then, he always had been when it came to his complete lack of subtlety in badgering people. He'd never had to learn to be subtle, everyone had feared him. Even her.
Part of her didn't want to answer him, or to tell him that she was happily married to a man who treated her like the queen she was. Sadly, though, she knew he'd know it if she was lying. He might be distracted with his current medical state, but she had a feeling he'd still know on some level if she lied.
"I'm married to my work," she said instead. "It is where my time and energy go, and where I want them to go."
