"Fear is borne of fear itself," he answered simply. "Fear breeds fear. It isn't of God, it is false.. and yet all of us feel it at one time or another. Malice and violence can cause it --but what causes the NEED for malice and violence? Usually the fear of someone being more powerful than us, or someone besting us in some manner." Andrei remained completely calm, unlike Bryte, knowing that the Father would help them through this situation. He did agree, however, that it was likely time to cease the conversation. Not for his benefit, but for the superior's.
"We needn't talk further on that, though. I'm Andrei, Elder Priest of the New Crusaders," he stated, reaching his hand over in a peace offering of sorts. "You're more than welcome to come to a church gathering, or if you'd prefer a one-on-one counseling session, I would be happy to set that up for you. Religion is best discussed when all parties are comfortable, and I'm afraid something within our conversation has scratched at each of us. I believe it would be wise to regroup and come back to the topic at a different time."
He offered a warm, compassionate smile to each of them. "Do you ever get the feelings of deja vu I mentioned?" He asked the stranger, attempting to veer the topic back to its original state.
