Aaron's eyes went wide, his heart jumped with delight... not to mention another area jumping. Oh this was great! How often did this actually work? Not that often, but it did occasionally happen. Maybe it was his godly charms. Maybe it was the hair. Maybe the girls in this era were just that desperate. Either way, Aaron was sure he was getting lucky. His entire face lit up, eyes widening as his thick brows jumped high, and then just as quickly it fell. He looked genuinely wounded for a moment, then quickly covered it by pursing his lips and turning his chin up.
"Aw, Hellen. You little tease you." Wrong name, yet again. He really was bad about that. "I guess it's another lonely night for Aaron." He let out a long, tragic sigh, coming fingers through his crazy curls. He watched her fold herself up into the chair, and for the first time the entire encounter, looked rather awkward. He shifted his weight from foot to foot, his head turned this way then that as he looked around the shop, trying to find something to find something to entertain himself with. Something about the way she was curled up and reading put an invisible wall between then, and his incessant yapping stopped for a moment. Rocking from his heels to his toes, he loudly slurped his coffee and waited.
