Diana enjoyed holidays, but she also enjoyed the consistency of routine. She hadn't had nearly enough time to establish her routine since her classes had started the week of Thanksgiving. The students were already restless thanks to the impending break, and given that her class was new, it was a bit pointless for those first few days. Now that the break was coming to a close, however, it was time to buckle down. She still hadn't firmed up her lesson plans, as dealing with Kaedyn's unauthorized event and its consequences had kept her quite busy, so Sunday was her day to make sure she had everything in order.
It was also her day to stop and actually think about what being back entailed.
Study Hall seemed like a good place to work, since she didn't particularly want to listen to her seventeen year old bitch about her tyrannical ways while she was trying to work. The bar provided food, it provided wine, and it provided the illusion of company. Diana could handle being alone, she often preferred it, but there were times when she wanted the bustle that came from having others around her. People watching was a pastime she'd picked up long ago, and it hadn't left despite how much more comfortable she'd gotten around people.
Picking up her glass of wine, she took a sip as she let her eyes drift from the papers in front of her. Not many people were there, as it was Sunday afternoon, but she still had a few to keep her attention. It was better than nothing.
