Asher stared at Drew for what seemed like forever before answering. It wasn't that he needed time to process what had just been said, his alcohol soaked brain had understood every word completely, it was deciding to give his answer or not. There was no doubt in his reply, he simply wondered if he should spare them both the pain and lie. Apparently that wasn't an option. "Yes, Drew. Yes, that's what I would have wanted."
"Do you honestly think that I've been this upset with you because you didn't tell me a secret. You were never just a warm body next to me," he spat the word as if they were poison on his tongue. "I'm angry because you didn't tell me then, when we could have maybe had all those amazing things you talked about." Letting out a sigh he looked down at the floor, wondering why he'd said so much, too much.
