"Do you know something about--?" Callie asked quickly and then cut herself off. Her heart was pounding suddenly and the pit that had been lurking in her stomach for the last few hours lurched unpleasantly. They'd said no magic, no peeking and that they'd wait for the stupid test, but here Maya was and it was test day anyway and what if she knew that something was going to go wrong like before. Or what if she knew that it was going to be okay and that Callie wouldn't have to spend the next nine months worrying about another miscarriage?
"Okay, now you have to tell me because I'm going to lose my mind if you don't." Callie finally said after a moment. "It's bad news, isn't it?"
