It had only been twenty four hours since Xander had been discharged from the medical centre but he was completely certain that when Shanti had said that he should take it easy for the next week, she didn't mean that he should end up doing a bunch of the things that he'd done instead of resting. He'd woken with a satisfied smirk on his lips and only a dull but persistent ache in his torso, so he had taken his pain medication anyway before heading over to both of his morning classes. He hadn't missed all that much and he was able to catch up easily in both classes, and he felt great after each one finished despite the slight burn in his chest because of the large amount of healing bruises. It seemed like Shanti didn't trust Xander to listen to her - he couldn't really blame her for having that opinion because it was mostly true - because every single one of his teachers had been ordered by her to not allow him to overdo it. So when he was let out of Offensive class early, Xander tried not to pout at the Offensive TA - he would never pout at Keys - and headed off towards the classrooms. His non-physical classes definitely had homework waiting for him since he hadn't been around for almost two weeks, and he headed for the languages classroom first. Arriving just before the class was finished, Xander hung around the door of the classroom and listened until the end, having just enough respect for the teacher to not barge into his class and disrupt it. The class finally finished and Xander waited outside the classroom door while the students made their way out of the room, and he just flashed a cheeky grin at Summer when she looked very surprised to see him. Making his way into the classroom quietly, Xander shut the door behind him and ambled over to the front of the room where the teacher was cleaning up after his class. Xander knew that he must still look terrible to the people around him, what with the heavy bruising on his face, but he was ignoring the reactions as much as he could. "Afternoon, Santiago," Xander remarked, the clock having slipped past noon by now. |
