Although she was 18 years old, Alba Smith wasn't ashamed to admit she was scared of the dark. Her fear of the dark stemmed from a moment in her childhood, when she'd become lost in the hospital during a blizzard. The memory of wandering dark and silent halls haunted her, instilled a deep and intense fear of the darkness in her that persisted well into her teens. The lights seemed to go off more than Alba was comfortable with, but being near Abe made it easier to swallow so to speak. So she was glad for the sunshine the next day and it's arrival that morning. Alba felt like she could breath a little easier, metaphorically speaking of course.
Friday mornings were Alba's absolute favourite. The day started out with two spirit classes and even though she was fond of both Healing and Enchantment, she found herself looking forward to spirit classes most. Unfortunately the high dipped low, with blacksmithing after lunch. Now, Alba wasn't the type to use the word hate but she did not enjoy blacksmithing in the slightest. Which was a bit of let down, given it was her brother's specialty but the air was too hot and thick in the forge. It made her already weak lungs feel even weaker and her stubborn nature meant she refused to be treated like the other students, so she suffered through the hour of blacksmithing.
Feeling just the littlest bit disappointed, Alba decided to visit Lia. There was just something about the older woman that cheered her up, she couldn't put her finger on it but Alba adored her. She figured it had something to do with her smooth transition into Olmypus, which Lia had made incredibly easy. Naturally the next logical step to get through blacksmithing was to see Lia beforehand. Once she'd finished her food Alba tucked a few cookies in her backpack and rolled her way down to the Admissions office, knocking softly on the door. "Hello?" she called, rocking back on her heels as she waited.
