"Uh huh..." she murmured, feeling distinctly like she had traveled back in time to become a student again. "Had I known I was supposed to be putting on a show for you I would have brought music." She knew she had no place being snarky, but she hated being treated like a child by someone marginally older than her. Desiree was aware her attitude didn't help.
She got herself into a bit of a zone, ignoring his presence until he actually spoke again. "Already?" She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but it honestly didn't feel like she had been going for all that long. Maybe Dylan didn't want to tire her out so soon? She didn't know, but she had come here prepared to get her ass handed to her in the name of learning from her mistakes, and was willing to try anything he suggested.
Giving a quick nod to show she understood, she dropped into a defensive stance, humming softly to herself in order to focus. Everyone had their little tricks, hers was centered around the music she had a tendency to surround herself with. If he had a problem with it then she'd gladly explain her methodology and how it worked.
The moment he started slinging spells, Desiree was on the move. She knew she wouldn't be able to block everything, and was bound to take a few hits. Still, Desiree had the element of surprise on her side since he had only seen a little of what she was capable of. Once she had an idea of his rhythm, she reached out with her mind, picking random objects up off the ground and tossing them at him to try and break his concentration.
