Hephaestus parked in front of Hades' house. Instead of his usual roadster, he was driving a nondescript van from the VTS motor pool. He stepped out of the van, clad head to toe in his invulnerable armor. He couldn't very well drive around in a convertible dressed like that.
Besides, Hephaestus thought as he moved to the back of the van, I'm bringing gifts to this party.
Throwing open the doors, Hephaestus pulled out numerous large duffel bags. Each bag was almost as long as he was tall. Hoisting the duffel bags off the ground, Hephaestus walked up to the door. He considered knocking, but decided against it. No time for formalities. After some careful maneuvering, Hephaestus opened the door and stepped through it.
"Hello, [Uncle]," Hephaestus said as he entered. He was somewhat surprised to see someone had beat him there. "And hello to you, too, Dionysus." Hephaestus placed the duffel bags on the ground. He took a moment to unsheathe his axe from its hiding place. He was ready.
