Who: ForcedRevision & depressedmuse... I mean, Hades & Mel
What: AIM discussion
Where: In cyberspace
When: Let's say, backdated to Tuesday, July 7. Afternoonish
Warnings: none
depressedmuse: Do you want a chance to see Helen on or around her birthday?
ForcedRevision: Yes. But why do you ask? Planning a night out with Nick and need a babysitter?
depressedmuse: Birthday party considering.
ForcedRevision: I'm not going to show up for her birthday. You have to be there.
depressedmuse: any day that you want to see her on?
ForcedRevision: I don't know. To be honest, I'm doing a day-to-day in my life at the moment.
depressedmuse: Reason?
ForcedRevision: oh, where to begin... I know. I have become everything I hate, both in resentment and in fear. I'm just that good
depressedmuse: I don't think I know everything you hate.
depressedmuse: you aren't your sister are you?
ForcedRevision: okay, you got me there. I'm not some uber bitch. Do you think the SUVs hurt her?
depressedmuse: They'd hurt more running over her.
ForcedRevision: well, I have something new to daydream about now
depressedmuse: What's going on?
ForcedRevision: I'm in a limbo. I should probably talk to Dahlia but last time we were really around each other both of us made a real hash of things so
depressedmuse: What about Tess?
ForcedRevision: what about her?
depressedmuse: How are things with her?
ForcedRevision: not as I would like but I knew this would be an uphill thing
ForcedRevision: wait, bloody hell, the last time I saw Dahlia wasn't the hash-fest. the last time I saw her was us playing the polite game. kinda like baby swap but in the same room.
depressedmuse: I feel out of the loop
depressedmuse: Did I fall in a coma?
ForcedRevision: maybe. meet any cars the hard way?
depressedmuse: Not that I remember. But even a car hit could mess with memory.
ForcedRevision: If I meet your mother, I will consult her immediately on the matter
depressedmuse: I don't think I've ever been hit by a car.
depressedmuse: Not that hard at least
ForcedRevision: we have both been busy in our own spheres
depressedmuse: What's the uphill battle people are putting you through?
ForcedRevision: how to explain it.... okay. let's go slow. I know you know I have feelings for the two of them. I feel caught between and last time I tried to choose... well, it didn't end well. for anyone. so I'm not choosing. resolution is slow to appear, but I'm not surprised. kinda why I have to talk to Dahlia soon at some point, too
depressedmuse: Are you back to living in your office?
ForcedRevision: No.
depressedmuse: So you're with Tess.
ForcedRevision: yeah. I'm probably sending mixed signals, but I don't know which.
depressedmuse: I don't see why you aren't living alone.
ForcedRevision: I don't especially think that would help the situation at this time.
depressedmuse: Why not? If you can't choose between right and left you stay on stage.
ForcedRevision: If I stay center stage, one wing will think I chose the other. at least right now.
depressedmuse: So you stay in a wing with one of them?
ForcedRevision: more like a touch off center. listen, I didn't claim this was well thought out
depressedmuse: That's why it sounds like something I would do.
ForcedRevision: didn't one of us say we were too much like each other for our own good?
depressedmuse: Probably
depressedmuse: At least you get to see the twins all the time.
ForcedRevision: yeah. they're getting so big
depressedmuse: They do that.
depressedmuse: Soon you'll be building them forts.
ForcedRevision: soon?
depressedmuse: You've already built them a tree fort, haven't you?
ForcedRevision: not a tree fort. more like a fort of pillows. they don't quite get what a fort is yet
depressedmuse: First they want a fort or a play house, then they want their own rooms, or even their own rooms within the fort.
depressedmuse: Does Tess have enough rooms for them to have each have their own?
ForcedRevision: they can have their own rooms. having forts in said rooms would be a bit much
depressedmuse: That's what backyards are for.
ForcedRevision: if they want forts. they might want some other crazy thing
depressedmuse: Like what?
ForcedRevision: no idea.
depressedmuse: Maybe if they each have their own room to decorate as they want they won't need a fort.
ForcedRevision: Maybe. I wish all three of them could play together in one place without being guests somewhere.
depressedmuse: If you had your own place, like a bachelor pad, they could be there and it would be neutral ground for them as it is for their mothers.
ForcedRevision: I should just buy them a playhouse to play in.
depressedmuse: They would probably like that. You could let them paint it and everything too. Once they are old enough.
ForcedRevision: having two iPhones is great. I can look for playhouses while not having to mess with my IM interface
depressedmuse: Why don't you just have one custom built?
ForcedRevision: then I would have to oversee things. I don't really have time for it. and I would be upset if they messed the place up if I custom designed it. some playhouse I find and spruce up? much better
depressedmuse: Spruce up makes it sound like you are buying something already used. A custom built playhouse isn't that big of a project to be over seen.
ForcedRevision: I think me and you have different ideas about what a playhouse is
depressedmuse: Normally I think of a play house, as in a theater, but I know you don't intend to get that for them.
ForcedRevision: no. that's a gift I would get you. how is that theater going anyway?
depressedmuse: We aren't famous, but we aren't in debt.
ForcedRevision: that's a start
depressedmuse: We'll get bigger soon. I think i've finally sorted the staff and actors out where I need them.
ForcedRevision: I hope Box 5 is still my private box
depressedmuse: It always will be.
depressedmuse: I've started a few rumors and traditions.
ForcedRevision: Good. I didn't want to have to go invisble and cut down chandeliers during a performance
depressedmuse: hopefully no one else does either.
ForcedRevision: if someone else does that, you have a problem
depressedmuse: Would that be a big surprise?
ForcedRevision: someone else going invisible and cutting down a chandelier in the middle of a performance?
depressedmuse: It is my theater.
ForcedRevision: that's much even for your luck
depressedmuse: is there really such a line as too much for my luck?
ForcedRevision: for random events? I would like to think so. Now if it was Hermes back in town, cutting down chandeliers and then stealing Helen for a week just to say 'Hello. I'm back in town." That I could believe for you.
depressedmuse: If he steals Helen for a week, he should be ready to leave town and continue traveling.
ForcedRevision: you see, he wouldn't see the problem when he gives her back. He never did. so, just because he should keep going, doesn't mean he would. unless he learned over the years
depressedmuse: I doubt he did.
ForcedRevision: then he would be simply shocked at your outrage and try to smooth it out with you.
ForcedRevision: Helen would have a grand ol' time probably though.
depressedmuse: That would be the part that would save him.
depressedmuse: A phone call, really, would be all that I would need.
depressedmuse: If he takes Helen, you and eveyone else will know she's gone.
ForcedRevision: And that's when Hermes wouldn't know what hit him
depressedmuse: A phone call would be for his own safety.
depressedmuse: He was never stupid.
ForcedRevision: I think he would be startled at the speed of the violent outrage if the last time Helen was taken is any indication. By the time he got to his phone to do so, I might just be stabbing him in the throat.
depressedmuse: He sould just steal all the chairs from the theater. Much safer that way.
ForcedRevision: probably. I had a dream once where he came back and stole my car. I then bought a new car because rentals cars clearly don't exist in my dreams. this repeated a few times.
depressedmuse: It's more fun to steal your cool cars than to get his own. New toy each time.
ForcedRevision: I never got the end of that dream. My mind switched to its normal mode and changed it. Like it knew it was too humorous a dream for me to have.
depressedmuse: My sister should have made you a dream pillow.
ForcedRevision: which sister?
depressedmuse: My theater sister.
ForcedRevision: she did enough for me. I wish she was still around, not only for you, but selfishly for me. she blessed my sons but not my daughter.
depressedmuse: Maybe she can when she gets back.
ForcedRevision: Yeah. She better come back. I didn't pull strings to get that mortal friend of hers interviews with a couple of networks so she could just go off.
depressedmuse: Why did you do it?
ForcedRevision: not for her to just go off.
depressedmuse: You didn't give us a theater for that reason either.
ForcedRevision: No. I didn't.
depressedmuse: Does that mean it's not against any rules for me to write a play myself?
ForcedRevision: there's rules? about you writing plays?
depressedmuse: I didn't think so.
ForcedRevision: Why would I make a rule about you writing plays?
depressedmuse: Fairness
ForcedRevision: what fairness?
depressedmuse: I have an advantage.
ForcedRevision: good.
depressedmuse: advantages might not be considered fair.
ForcedRevision: but you're supposed to write plays. Have I been lied to? Was I taught about the muses wrong as a joke?
depressedmuse: We inspire more. That never stopped us though.
ForcedRevision: Then what's the problem?
depressedmuse: There is none.
depressedmuse: We were establishing that before I ask if Zale is coming to Helen's party.
ForcedRevision: if he wants to/if his horse party isn't at the same time and day.
and no. I don't know what a 'horse party' is. I assume it involves horses as its at the country club
depressedmuse: Done. I'll make sure he gets invited.
ForcedRevision: what does you writing a play have to do with him?
depressedmuse: Nothing.
ForcedRevision: I understand. no transitions. very well.
depressedmuse: Sorry.
ForcedRevision: I should be used to that but I'm out of practice it seems. I smell smoke and I have to believe its because my summer interns set my pool table on fire somehow. so hold.
Summary: Mel and Hades are internet friends and Mel IMed him during the workday to discuss Helen and her birthday. They weave around topics from there. They do that.
