Hephaestus paused before walking into the designated area for the inter-Pantheon meet-and-greet. He was in a good mood, but he didn't want that to make him uncautious. He checked the readouts in the lenses of his glasses, which were becoming his accessory of choice. The small diagram of Atlas' body registered that it was intact, which meant he was being a good boy. The other readout in the lenses was from his PKE meter, which was hidden in his tech belt. Hephaestus had it scanning for anything unusual. After the Devil/Loki debacle, Hephaestus felt it best to be cautious.
However, with all his indicators in the green, Hephaestus' confident grin returned. He felt on top of things, and he would enjoy it while it lasted. He would need all his bravado to deal with his parents, a much stickier diplomatic situation than dealing with unfamiliar deities. With one final deep, bracing breath, Hephaestus walked out to the meeting area.
"Mother, father," Hephaestus said in way of greeting, nodding at each in turn in lieu of bowing.
