Veronica was still trying to figure out why she decided they had to meet and talk about this in public. It would have been much easier to ignore the message or pretend that she was fine, everything was fine, and to forget it all. Why didn’t she just do that? Most females were more open with their feelings and emotions, but Veronica kept them to herself and found avoiding them to be much easier. So then what the hell was she doing? She knew part of the reason she came up with the idea of talking out of text message was to give herself time to figure out what she wanted; however, she still didn’t even know.
Part of her wanted things to work out and try again, but then another part of her wasn’t sure if it was a smart move to go down that road again. After classes, Veronica had headed to the coffee shop, checking her phone for any texts. She had work to get done, but she figured a short break to deal with this mess wouldn’t hurt her. Ordering her drink, and ignoring the flirting from the same boy that was always hitting on her, she went to take a seat off to the side, sliding the handle of her back on the back of her chair. That kid had no idea that he was flirting with a mess of a person, but she just let it go. Sitting in her seat, she leaned back as she waited for Logan to show up. Every now and again, she would glance down at her phone that was in front of her, hoping maybe Logan had something pop up, which would give her more time to figure out what she wanted.
