Oliver knew Laurel wasn't conditioned like he was. She didn't have the experience that he did either and he also knew part of that was his fault since he'd been the one to refuse to train her. If he'd trained her she wouldn't be having such a hard time on this trail.
Hearing her labored breathing he slowed and turned to look at her, not upset, just wanting to be sure she was alright even if she did get upset with him for doing so. "You're doing good." He encouraged her, "Want some water?"
