Kai chuckled at the look on Stefan's face. "You really do need to remember who I am," he said, amused smirk in place. "If you want to threaten me, I'll remind you again, or maybe I'll let you ask my sister."
"Who doesn't love the Sixth Sense? There are worse. Have you seen Sharknado?" Kai frowned. He liked his sense of humor, but absolutely hated stupidity. Sharknado was pure stupidity.
"They put me back in prison, in case you missed it. I spent 20 years without anyone near me. I had nothing. You don't really know what the Gemini did, but you assumed I belonged there. You don't know. You spent years as a ripper, so don't try to convince me that I'm all bad. Tell me, Stefan. When you felt the life drain away, did you like it? My entire family told me I was worthless, an abomination, and I hadn't done a thing yet. When I finally did do something, they tried to wipe out my existence. You got a pat on the head and a warm glass of milk. We aren't that different." Kai's voice was so level, logical, devoid of feeling good or bad. Even though there was venom there, enough that he destroyed his family, he kept it to himself.
