Who: Rose and Octavia What: Underage drinking followed by shenanigans Where: dive bar When: Tonight Rating: R
It took Rose forfuckingever to get the shitty ADT system set up at the house that Lissa had bought for them. And it was a good thing that she had because Rose was about to set up a damn hammock outside Lissa's apartment. Whoever dared to tell Rose she couldn't live with her best friend-slash-charge Lissa was going to end up with a foot up their ass in no time flat. The gorgeous luxurious house was just what the doctor ordered and Rose had already been enjoying the many amenities that it came equipped with. She never had a problem mooching off of Lissa's money because Lissa had enough money to fund a small country and Rose had some lint in her pocket.
Lissa was taking a nap because this whole human/Moroi schedule bouncing back and forth was taking a toll on both of them. Rose was far more physically strong and able to handle it. When she had been on the run with Dimitri she was lucky if she ever got to sleep. And damn it, she really missed Dimitri. It was like they could finally be together and the shitty universe tore hem apart like it was no big deal. Rose was really starting to believe that the two of them would never be able to truly be together and she had broken Adrian's heart for nothing. But even without Dimitri in the mix, Rose just didn't love Adrian the way he loved her. It wasn't fair to keep him dangling on a hook like that.
As beautiful as her new tropical oasis was, Rose needed something a little seedier to get her mind off of how depressing it was that she and Lissa were stuck here right after everything went down at home. Lissa wasn't the Moroi Queen here and Rose was no royal guardian. They were just Rose and Lissa, two girls striking out on their own. It did give her a fun little thrill that reminded her of the time they had lived away from St. Vladimir's in the real world. That felt like ages ago but it had given the two girls a chance to adapt to living in the human world. Not that everyone in Hawaii was human. That was a given.
She found a divey little bar off a side street somewhere and slipped right in. She was hot enough to pass so it probably wouldn't matter but she had a fake ID anyway. She sat at a barstool and ordered a rum and Coke, unsurprised when the bartender didn't bother to card her.
