Who: Matt and Alex (later an appearance by Abby Maddox) What:A first date Dinner When: Wednesday evening Rating: High.
Matt was enjoying having Alex in his apartment. He wished it was under different circumstances but he was still glad to have her there. She was a good friend and he was happy that he was able to give her a safe place to rest while she recuperated. And now he had unilaterally moved Alex into his apartment in an effort to keep her away from Ward.
There was no denying that Matt had feelings for Alex. He liked her and it was obvious to other people. He wasn't sure if she felt the same way but he could hope. He had wanted to ask her out for awhile now but he had been too nervous and then she had gotten hurt. And if she didn't feel the same, he didn't want to screw up their friendship. It was funny when he thought of it. He was not afraid to face criminals and guns but the thought of asking Alex out made him nervous.
But she was starting to feel a little stir crazy and while he wasn't thrilled about the idea of letting her out of the apartment when she should still be resting, he didn't want to make her feel like a prisoner. So instead of taking her out for coffee like she suggested, he thought that he'd ask her out for dinner and he was happy that she agreed.
After getting himself ready and and Alex walked to the restaurant and where they were seated. Matt had a menu in front of him but it obviously did no good for him. He'd ask the waitress to tell him some of the options when she came by. In the meantime, he took a sip of water and tried not to fidget nervously in his seat.
"Are you feeling okay Alex?" He couldn't help it. He was worried that the walk to the restaurant might have fatigued her since she was still recuperating.
