A single shrug of his shoulders was Conner's only response when Summer said she'd handle it on her own. After all the offer would always be there, yet he had no need or desire to push matters further. For now they seemed to have free rent in their favor; plus everyone had been so focused on dealing with the current crisis, that all other thoughts were put on the back burner. Still the prospect of the near future would demand attention sooner then later, but sadly Kon-El was never much for planning things. Give him a task or obstacle and he'd find the most direct route to overcome it all, yet when it came to the subtler things...well he preferred following the lead of others.
Thankfully before he had to bring up such matters the cookies were done, and he was already mid-step when she teased him. A tiny frown touched his mouth when she told him he'd have to wait, however the smell of the chill proved a suitable distraction. Plus Summer never said he had to stop snacking on the cookie dough. So with a smile Conner moved to the table and grabbed a seat, that big mixing bowl still firmly in his grip. "Smell great, Summer. Where'd you learn to whip up the chili?"
