[ After a brief conversation with the shop owner, it was time to return home. It was a year after fulfilling his duties to Katsura, ensuring victory for the Choshu clan, sheathing his katana for the rest of his life. Much like his time with Tomoe, it was decided that he was very comfortable being a farmer for the simple fact that it replenished life instead of taking it away. Even though he was comfortable in his ways, it was impossible to forget everything that transpired.

Kenshin would not return home without restocking his own sake supply for the month, using it as a suppressant for his feelings of doubt and guilt over losing the woman of his life. Much like the night of their initial meeting, it was raining and he was without an umbrella.
