Ashling smiled, a rather warm and bright smile considering the situation. She, too, was in her element. "I'm stronger than I look," she said. "And we don't have far to go. You can be on door duty," she said, nodding in the right direction. She slowly began leading Daniel forward, one arm wrapped tightly around his waist to support his weight, the other holding on to his hand around her neck.
"Daniel, honey, who shot you?" she asked. She wasn't really sure she'd get an answer, but she wanted to get him talking anyway.
