Aiden had been on alert from the moment Michael had messaged the other managers and the medical staff and told them to expect a guest in need of medical attention. The information had been vague and so he had no idea what exactly to expect but he'd prepared for the worst just to be on the safe side. He was no stranger to the worst of course having worked in emergency medicine almost his entire career but he hated waiting not really knowing what to expect. He just had to bide his time and wait to see what rolled through their doors.
He'd occupied his time making sure he had everything within easy reach to save time when the guest finally arrived but now everything was ready and it was just a waiting game. There was only so many times he could check over the things he'd laid out on the side before he'd start to go crazy. The sound of the phone ringing made him jump, he didn't know who was on the other end of the phone but he ran across the short distance to pick it up. "Infirmary, Dr. Mallory here." When he heard Ashling's voice coming down the phone line he was a little shocked and also a little relieved when he heard her explain the situation. There was at least someone with medical training with the guest that could care for him until he could get there. "I'll be right there, Ashling, just keep him comfortable," he said just before he hung up the phone and grabbed the medical bag he kept handy for emergencies.
He wasted no time at all getting to the lobby. Knowing there was someone there that needed medical attention meant that he didn't even think about anything else but getting there as fast as he could. His mind was focused on getting there and helping the guest. He barely registered anything that he passed as he made his way there and it was only when he saw Ashling with the man that he started taking note of everything that was happening around him. There was a fair amount of blood visible on the man's clothing but he seemed strong enough to apply pressure to the wound in his shoulder but gunshots were tricky things and nothing was certain until he could ascertain if the bullet was still in the wound or not and even then it might be touch and go. Aiden crossed the last few feet with quick strides and placed his bag on the floor. He looked towards Ashling knowing that she might have gained valuable information that would help him treat the man on the couch. "What can you tell me?" he asked her before he looked towards the man and offered him a soft smile. "Hello, I'm Dr. Mallory and I'm here to help you."
