Finley followed Jai out of the elevator and she immediately started observing her surroundings. It was just second nature at this point. The security offices didn't seem too far away from the elevator, something she noted. The way her brain worked, she was already planning an escape route, even if she had no reason at all for one just yet. It was more than just the cop in her; for as long as she could remember, she had always been the type to know a way out before her back was pressed to the wall. She doubted that she'd ever have to remember how to get to the security offices, but the information was logged away into her brain anyways.
She arched an eyebrow when the chair was pulled out for her, but she accepted it and the cup of water anyways. She wasn't about the bust the man's balls for being kind; woman or not, she had to look like hell. She was certainly starting to feel like it. So she was gracious for his chivalry and she sat down in the chair, leaning back and relishing the cool feeling that came through the back of her shirt. "Thanks," she nodded as she pressed the cup to her lips and let a small sip filter through. She knew nothing about heat exhaustion, or recuperating after trekking through the desert for the better part of a day; that wasn't exactly included in her training.
She eyed the radio for a brief second before glancing back at Jai. "What channel does it need to be on?" She asked as though she was going to handle the conversation with the authorities. Which, she might have justified by thinking she was the cop here and not Jai. But this was his territory, not hers, and she had to make sure if he had control of the reigns or if she needed to take care of business.
