"I suppose that would just be too easy," Jai sighed. He threw a few more towels on the floor before sitting back against the table, and pulling the walkie out to change the batteries. Might as well do that before going in for a change of clothes.
"Coming on for another guy," Jai answered. "Apparently this morning's runner popped him a good one, broke his nose." But to Jai's understanding, that wasn't entirely uncommon. A lot of people panicked. He had a harder time wrapping his mind around a security guard being caught off-guard enough to allow that hard a hit. Oh, sure, he'd taken blows here and there, but he hadn't landed himself in the infirmary. Yet. "You? Are you working today?"
