She rarely remembered her dreams, she was sure that she dreamed because everyone did but more often than not she had forgotten hers before she work up. They faded into the dark and were lost. This one was different though. It seemed so real, like those dreams you always heard people go on about that they were convinced were real until they woke up and realised that it had just been a dream.
In the dream she had been working the front of house of the hotel. She'd been so proud of the job that she was doing, that she was helping people that didn't even realise that they needed help. She'd been welcoming and pleasant to anyone that had come to her with a query. She felt like she had a purpose.
When she woke she thought the dream would fade away like every other dream she had ever had but even after she'd had her shower it was still fresh. The whole thing had left her with an odd feeling in the put of her stomach. What did it all mean? Was that what the future held for her? She had no way of knowing that and she wasn't sure if she could see herself working at the hotel. She was stuck here and she didn't know what she had to do to get out. Did that mean that she would end up working here? Was that how this placed worked? She had so many questions and she didn't have a clue as to who she could go to for answers.
Not knowing what to really do with herself she decided to head to the restaurant for some breakfast. Maybe food would help settle her stomach and give her something other to think about other than the dream. When she reached the restaurant it was already pretty busy and almost all the tables were full. She spotted one in the corner that was unoccupied, she made her way to it and settled herself in a chair that left her back to the wall. One of the waiting staff came and took her order before leaving her alone again. She watched as people came and left, none of them really paying her any attention which suited her just fine. It was only when a young man walked towards her table that she realised all the tables were now occupied by at least one or two people. She watched as this man walked right at her, her expression startled as if she were a rabbit caught in headlights. Tamara wanted to bolt from the table but as she went to get up the waiter came back with her order and her stomach growled at the smell of food. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place with no way out.
