Aiden had never had a problem with addiction, he'd never gone near anything stronger than alcohol and he drank that in moderation. There weren't any major flaws in his character, at least none that could possibly lead him to need the intervention of the hotel. If anyone had asked him he wouldn't have been able to think of anything he'd done that could ever result in him becoming a guest in the hotel.
That didn't change the fact that the dream he'd just woken from had him as a guest and one who either didn't want to or couldn't find his way to changing his life and getting out. The whole thing had left him shaken. It had seemed so real and while in the grip of the dream he hadn't seemed bothered by any of the things that he had been doing. He'd woken in a cold sweat and tangled in bedding. He'd tried to shake the imagery and get back to sleep but it had been hopeless.
He'd gotten out of bed and taken a very quick, very cold shower in an effort to rinse away the dream. He hadn't even tried to figure out the meaning of it all yet, if there even was a meaning to it. He knew he couldn't sit around in his apartment because staring at the walls would only bring him back to the dream and he wanted to push it out of his mind not cement its place in there. He dressed and walked out of his door with no real destination in mind. The sun was barely up and he didn't expect to see anyone else out and about at this hour yet when he looked around he saw a familiar figure standing not too far away looking up at the hotel. He cleared his throat softly as he approached so as not to startle her too much when he spoke.
"Cora, what are you doing out here at this early hour?"
