Your parasympathetic nervous system reacts Who: Cameron and Miguel When: Afternoon Where: Nearby Serenity Garden
Check out was today. But he was in no rush. Miguel had strangely grown attach to the hotel overnight. The plan originally was to stay a night, head back to the car and get the hell out of there. He should be back in Mexico by now--or in jail. Oddly enough, Miguel felt the cops wouldn't be able to find him at the hotel. As if he was protected from the outside world.
It didn't make any sense.
But here he was, meandering around the garden. The sun was beating down on him. It was way too hot to be out but Miguel was badly craving a cigarette. And he figured this particular hotel didn't allow indoor smoking. He sat on a nice bench with a roof facing the desert he had stumbled across near the garden. Leaning back on the bench, he lit the cigarette, took it in deep and let it out smoothly. His craving was settled and the shade made the heat tolerable enough to relax and admire the blue sky, cacti, and flowers in the distance.
