Lucien blinked in the sudden semi-darkness, stumbling the slightest bit against the wall as the car swayed. He'd spent the afternoon sampling cocktails and craft beers at the Ignite bar, and despite the fact that he had spread his drinking out over several hours, he was still sporting a mild buzz.
The other occupants were already beginning to voice their frustration, and he squinted in their general directions as his eyes adjusted to the change in lighting. An eerie red glow had settled over everything, though he could barely make out the forms of the man and woman who had spoken, along with a second woman standing just in front of him.
His eyes wandered to the control panel on the opposite wall. In all likelihood, the storm had probably caused some sort of power surge, and he waited a beat before offering his own suggestion. "It ain' on in de nex' few minutes, somebody may wan' press dat 'mergency call button."
