Jack raises his brows and looks even more confused by the withered old matron studying him than he was by the children. She leads him off and it's all just getting more baffling and upsetting by the minute. These are very nice people, but he doesn't care to be their pet.
He pouts at the ones laughing at them, not sure what's so damned funny. He sits when he's 'told' and waits to see what thing will happen next. Jack is rather pleased when he's brought food.
Jack looks around at all the eyes on him and smiles before beginning to eat the food offered. He pauses in it to inquire about his things.
"I really would fancy my things back. Anyone? My hat?" He makes out the basic shape of the thing around his head. "Rings?" Jack wiggles his fingers and points at how bare they are. He wish he could think of a way to mime 'compass' other than making a vague box shape with his hands. "Compass?"
