Louella went through the motions and did her best not to roll her eyes. The man reminded her of her home alright, in all the ways that made her impatient and set her teeth on edge. But she would be polite if it killed her. She was now intrigued by the good doctor. "Haemat is fine. It's to the point."
She sat obediently for Milbury to listen to her heart, but she couldn't entirely bite her tongue. "My heart is fine, but do what you must." Lou said it as pleasantly as was possible without being unctuous. At least the old man wasn't trying to feel her up. It wouldn't have been the first time.
"Brilliant," she replied to his query. In fact, while Louella had spent years in the Brotherhood by now, she was rather new to Special Ops. Her mutation could be quite impressive in the field against living beings, but it was completely useless against mechanical threats.
She had to undergo a few years of intensive physical training, hand-to-hand combat and other fighting techniques in order to hold her own in a fight against non-organics before she could be considered for the Special Ops division. She was quite proud of herself for her achievement.
"How about yourself? Have you always been here?" she asked with a sidelong glance.
