Milbury smiled, quite pleased to continue on with the charade. No use in making his suspicions any stronger. Not when he had much to lose from playing the game incorrectly. His standing with the government allowed him to do many things, not the least of which was experiment on unknowing subjects and rearrange their thinking to forget the whole thing ever happened. Now if humans ever truly mastered that, then they would get much further with being able to hide their research. Unfortunately, they hadn't even managed to figure out how not to take someone who had connections.
