Simon blinked at Kyle's sunny demeanor, not knowing what to make of it. "Right," he muttered uncertainly. "Later. I-it sure is." He idly wondered if perhaps he was in some obscure version of Mutant Candid Camera. Was this some sort of Brotherhood test? Nah. Wild Child was too... well... wild and unpredictable to partake in something like that.
He didn't have time to wonder very long, in any case, because the short feral man had already made his way into his apartment without further invitation. Simon looked outside past the door, then back at Kyle before finally shutting it closed with a soft jingle and click as he replaced the chain and threw the latch. He couldn't help but snort softly as he watched Kyle intently sniff things around the apartment. He found it quite endearing, if he was to be honest.
"I... yeah." Simon could have groaned. He couldn't seem to string three words together when Kyle was around. What was wrong with him? He sounded like he was mentally deficient, he thought. "Or at least I was trying to watch one. I sort of fell asleep, and the next thing I knew, here you were," he piped up amicably.
It was impossible to have a normal conversation with a guy he wasn't involved with while in his boxers, Simon decided. "You go ahead and make yourself at home, please. I'm going to... um... get my pants," he said simply. He was still holding that pillow in front of himself when he entered his room, and he tossed It aside with a sigh. When he told Kyle they'd talk later this wasn't even remotely what he meant. He was sure that in a few days, he'd think back on this and laugh, he thought as he pulled on a pair of handy, soft heather grey cotton pajama bottoms.
He grabbed a plain white tee shirt and walked right back out of the room, pulling it on as he went. It was thin, well worn and comfortable. His hair was tousled and standing at odd angles here and there from hurriedly pulling the shirt on. God, I look like shit. Oh, please, Simon. He doesn't care. You know he's always sniffing after girls. Then again, he came here. No. Don't even think about it. That way lies madness.
