Midnight visits Who: Scourge, Wild Child When: Thursday night Where: Stephanie's apartment What: Gibs decides to pay Stephanie an unexpected visit The week had been dull, very, very dull. Kyle had not managed to sufficiently annoy anyone to the point of being chased, set on fire, had things thrown at him or any other manner of amusing violent outbursts, so he felt under stimulated. He wandered the streets in his usual ripped jeans, sleeveless shirt and bare feet, searching for something to occupy his mind and alleviate his boredom. He supposed he could to train, but he had already logged a lot of solo training hours this week and wanted some kind of interaction.
That was when the scent caught his attention. Blue eyes went somewhat wide as his head canted quickly to one side. It was faint, distant, an old scent, but a lingering one none the less. It brought back memories of the fun little romp underground when they went in search of the missing woman. Of dark hair and a more than appealing feminine form. A grin quickly sprouted across his face as the mutt in him took over and began tracking the scent. It was partially out of instinct and partially wanting to see the pretty young lady, he was aching for companionship tonight, after all. I was easy to follow and the clear focus helped him settle his scattered mind, he soon standing before a tall building. The scent ended here, so she had to be here.
He was rather sure that, given how upscale the place looked, he would not be allowed in the front door, that left the indirect approach. That was fine, Kyle was generally fond of taking the long way. A little voice in his mind reminded him that it was a good idea to bring a gift of some sort to a lady, so he paused long enough to snatch up a fistful of the flowers planted outside the building, roots and all. Gift in hand, he moved around to the side of the building and dropped into a low crouch. With one quick bound, he jumped high enough to snatch onto the second floor fire escape, crumpling and battering the flowers all the more.
He easily scaled the fire escape, leaping from railing to railing rather than using the ladders, pausing and sniffing here and there to test and see if the individual he was tracking was near him. He at last stopped rather high up, thinking the scent was somewhat stronger here. He balanced himself carefully on the narrow ledge and worked his way to the balcony, easily hopping the rail and moving up to the door. Not thinking anything strange at all about knocking on the balcony door of an apartment a dozen stories up in the middle of the night, Kyle threw on his biggest, toothiest grin and rapped at the door, excited to see the young lady he considered a friend.
