Elixir reporting for duty
"Where are you now? I was just coming back," Josh replied, businesslike and sharp, as opposed to his usual, laid back tones. Once he got a location from Storm, he added, "Be there in five." He hung up and set out at a comfortable but brisk jog. He had been literally just around the corner, clearing his head, so he was entering the secured building three minutes and thirty-eight seconds later. Clearing security while in lockdown took a little longer than that, but he was known as the resident healer, and medical personnel always could have access to the Capital building.
He found Storm guarding Technica's prone form. "I'm here!" he called out as soon as he saw her. "Idiots at the gate wanted my firstborn before letting me in. What have we got?" he asked, getting into position within reach of his patient.
He wasn't seeing any obviously serious injuries, but he always tried to gather as much information as he could before laying on the hands. He hated going in without having an idea what to expect, even though one touch would tell him everything he needed to know. If it was one of the cursed many weaponized strains of the Legacy virus, he wanted to brace himself for the agonizing few minutes it would take him to heal it. If she was merely concussed and unconscious, he barely need have bothered running here, but there was just no way of knowing.
