Re: Gibs & Storm, opening to Elixir
Storm had actually left the building at what some would call the end of the normal work day, so she was sitting on her couch a book in hand when her phone started to ring 'urgent'. The only ones with the urgent ring were others on her team because she couldn't afford to ignore them when they needed her. Generally, it was because getting them out of trouble could be a full time job in and of itself. While she could have easily farmed that job off to someone else, she didn't. They were her team, her responsibility. If they got into it with the local authorities, then they needed to be gotten out. Special Ops status was not something they were supposed to talk about.
Drawing attention to themselves was an easy way for them to become targets.
Dropping the book, she grabbed up her phone in time to hear Wild Child screaming at her. If he weren't screaming, she might have been flabbergasted at the simple fact that the feral managed to use a cellphone. Except that she needed very much to hear what he was actually saying, which meant translating his accent as fast as she could.
"Go, Wild Child. I'll be there immediately." She sounded calm, already there were a dozen things running through her head. It was someone that Kyle recognized. Who could it be? Not someone he dealt with often or he would have been able to give her a name.
Either way, she needed to be there to deal with the injured and make sure that things didn't escalate unnecessarily.
Throwing open her balcony doors, she took off in flight and was at the Capital building within a minute. Walking through the front doors, she told the security there.
"Lock down the building, we have an intruder." Then she was running past them, her skirt flying around her legs. This was not the time to dwaddle.
