Simon was happy to be done with his debriefing. It had been a short, fairly uneventful assignment, very cloak and dagger. Quite frankly, he had been bored out of his skull most of the time, but the main goal had been to achieve his mark unnoticed, and that had meant long hours of recon and very little action until the time was right. Now, it was finally done and he could go home and relax. He was debating whether to apply his normal post-op routine, or to look Gibs up and try something different. He kept walking past the every so slightly rumpled man coming his way without acknowledging his presence with anything more than a curt nod. People tended to not be very friendly down on these levels for some reason. Maybe there was just something that struck Simon as psychologically oppressive about this floor.
He did think it strange, for some reason. A gut feeling. Maybe his senses were hyper aware because he'd just been out on an op. In any case, he waited until he turned the next corner before making a hard left into the nearest wall. Thinking he was probably being paranoid, he still decided it couldn't hurt to slip up into the ceiling and do his Phantom bit, looking down from the ceiling to see where the man was going.
