Alicia was completely dumbfounded by Draco’s words. She had just seen her best friend run off, no doubt crumbling the minute she was out of the door, and now Draco was thanking her for coming. She wanted to yell and rant and curse him, but she didn’t want to give him the benefit of potential martyrdom by not handling herself appropriately.
All she did, as he walked out, though, was shake her head incredulously. Wiping away the tears that had come from… somewhere, she looked to Adrian and once again shook her head.
“I really hope that his will somehow help in his continuing recovery,” she remarked, disgusted by the whole thing and the way Malfoy had just exited the room with something as casual as a half-date to go flying with Adrian. That was all she could really say to that, before she too left. She had a friend to help put back together, a friend who had just been set back years in her recovery, a friend that was nowhere to be found outside The Leaky Cauldron. Alicia Apparated to the only place it would make sense to start looking for Katie: her home. From there, she could Floo Ange and have her come over to help as well.
