Draco sat on the patio furniture outside Florean's Ice Cream Parlor nursing an earl grey & lavender sundae. Ever since their probation began, his father's usual haughty attitude had not subsided in the least while his mother only became quieter. But sitting out in Diagon Alley on his birthday seemed to be much better than in a house where there were still so many memories of the acts his parents had committed.
He sat daydreaming as his ice cream slowly melted unable to do anything to pass the time without a wand of his own or his broom locked away in the family vault.
