New Ilium.
Like a phoenix, it rose from poverty. New Ilium beat insurmountable odds to become the metropolis it is today. Located in an island off the coast of Italy, New Ilium is now a haven that rivals the First World. Despite its grandeur today, it also serves a purpose beyond which any human mind could fathom.
New Ilium is a battleground – a giant chessboard of which two cosmic entities are forever interlocked in battle. Beyond the sight of normal humans, New Ilium serves as the arena. An arena for which only one may win – and the prize is the salvation, or destruction, of humanity.
Destiny has called on humanity to fight for their right to survive - summoning powerful relics from the gods and goddesses from every single mythology and every single religion, and passing them on to select individuals. Those who have received their gift are now called Paragons, and can now fight against, or for the forces of Chaos - or further their own ambitions.

Last Aegis is an Original Character, Alternate Reality Modern Mythological Fantasy RP, inspired by White Wolf’s Scion tabletop games as well as Funcom’s The Secret World MMO, set in the fictional island metropolis of New Ilium, off the coast of Italy.
