In an alternate present, humans live in uneasy peace with orcs, elves, and other intelligent species after the Nine Races had interacted in an almost constant state of war for thousands of years. Chicago, like any other modern metropolis, is a city wrought with unrest of every kind; equality of the species is only a recent idea adopted into law, but is still a far reaching reality for many. Poverty, speciesism, and political activism is all on the rise, and many believe the Peace is destined to come to a violent end. Whispered rumors of the return of Magic and those who can control it are a constant undercurrent of society, but those who know anything for sure rarely leave witnesses.

Disillusioned is an OC-centric RPG set in the universe of the Netflix movie Bright. It is a dark reality game involving fantasy creatures, humans, and the problems therein set in Chicago, 2018. There is an ongoing metaplot that drives the game, but most play is based on personal interactions and aspirations of the characters.
