"Something Christmas this way comes..."

‘Twas the advent of Christmas, and in Hogwarts school,
Every creature was stirring, even rat, ghost and ghoul;
For a powerful magic had been released there,
And every student it soon would ensnare...

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-quills danced in their heads;
Down to the dungeons Michael Corner did go,
to drink a mysterious potion sat there all aglow…

The magic did burst with an almighty flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
“This isn’t a cure to my viral disease,”
Thought Michael Corner with growing unease…

What wild magic has he released on the school?
And will it last all through the season of Yule?
