But a single word can give you courage, or turn your favorite pleasure into your worst nightmare. Those with the demon’s touch like those part angel, living alongside us. They call it the balance. I call it hypocritical bullshit.... The supernatural world exists alongside this one. It's a world where demons and angels intervene directly with the lives of those souls that stand as pawns on the almighty chessboard of the game between Heaven and Hell. It's a world where the Merchants sell magic and blood, where you might wake up one day and move things with your mind or set them on fire. It's a world policed by an organization devoted to maintaining the balance between good and evil. And it's a world with Constantine. Augustus Rookwood is one of those not happy in this world and the former death eater begins to make plans to make his own world, his ideal world.
